New Wave started in 2016 because the accountants founders had were reviewing history and sending invoices. We wanted to be in the business while the decisions were being made. Ten years later that is still the whole idea: big firm advice, boutique attention, for a select group of founders doing $1M and up.
Compliance is the floor, not the job.
Most founders only hear from their accountant at tax time. By then the year is over and the only thing left is to report what happened. We work the other way around: numbers every month, tax planned before 30 June, and a partner-led standard on every file.
We do not work with everyone. A smaller client list means a senior team who knows your business, not a different junior every year.
The partners own businesses of their own. Payroll on a Thursday, tax bills that hurt, the next site. The advice comes from that side of the table.
We build our own software for bookkeeping, reporting and advice, so the repetitive work is automated and the thinking is done by people who know your business.
